Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill opened its seventh location in Castle Towers Shopping Centre last week. Located in Sydney’s Hills District in the suburb of Castle Hill, Mad Mex is the newest addition to the Piazza District, Castle Tower’s upscale dining destination. It also features the award-winning lucha–libre (Mexican wrestling) themed design including a state-of-the-art open plan kitchen, original artwork, communal dining tables and Mad Mex’s signature Corona bottle chandelier.
Mr. Young has plans to grow Mad Mex to more than 40 stores by 2016, with franchises now available throughout Australia. Current NSW locations include Darlinghurst, Circular Quay, Macquarie Centre, Westfield Tuggerah, Westpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown and Castle Towers, and Mad Mex opened its first Melbourne location at 131 Chapel Street, Windsor in March 2010. The company plans to open outlets in Queensland in 2010/2011, as well as further expand within NSW and Melbourne.
