Penrith Panthers special appearance at opening of Mad Mex Penrith
Members of the Penrith Panthers NRL club made a special appearance at the opening of the new Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill in Penrith last night, tucking into a burrito and showing their club’s support for the new addition to the Riley Street restaurant precinct. Happily posing for photos with guests and staff, players including Sandor Earl, Tim Grant and Adrian Purtell brought VIP beef to the restaurant’s opening night, attended by around 200 guests from the local business community, corporate guests and media.
“We were really thrilled to have the players here to celebrate the new restaurant opening,” says Mad Mex founder, Clovis Young. “They’re big stars with fans all over Australia and massively popular in the area so there were plenty of guests wanting to get their photo with them and a lot of fans noticing them in the restaurant from outside.”
The players even pulled on Mexican Luchador masks to get into the spirit of the evening.
Mad Mex Penrith commences trading to the public today with an opening offer of $5 burritos for one day only.
